Many names have been in the toss-up for the supporting role in David O. Russell’s upcoming project The Silver Linings Playbook. They include Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway and Andrea Riseborough.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quick, the movie stars Mark Wahlberg as Pat Peoples, a former high school teacher who is released from an institution after spending four years being treated for depression. He is taken into the care of his mother. During this time, he tries to win back his ex-wife but suddenly becomes involved with his offbeat neighbor (the role Lawrence will play).
Production for The Silver Linings Playbook is scheduled to begin this fall.

Rachel McAdams latest film Midnight in Paris has become Woody Allen’s top grossing pic of all time in North America, a sizeable victory for the filmmaker and Sony Pictures Classics as well as the beautiful actress herself.
Starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams, Midnight in Paris grossed an estimated $1.9 million for the weekend, pushing its total to $41.8 million and overtaking Hannah and Her Sisters, which cumed $40.1 million in 1986 (not accounting for inflation).
Midnight in Paris is the rare specialty title that catches fire with general audiences. The movie opened in only six theaters on May 20 to score one of the best location averages of all time ($99,834) at the domestic box office. At its widest point, the film played in more than 1,000 theaters. Its current count is 700.
In the film, Wilson’s character discovers an alternate reality while in Paris with his with his fiancee, Inez (Rachel McAdams), Sony Classics’ Michael Barker and Tom Bernard say there are several reasons why the film is resonating.
For one, the movie embraces Paris in a way that appeals to anyone who has either visited the city, or wants to visit. And Wilson plays the sort of “everyman” character that a moviegoers tend to see in more mainstream films, versus in arthouse titles (or in an Allen’s film). It also helps that critics across the country — and not just in New York — have given Midnight in Parisgreat reviews.
Midnight in Paris is Sony Classics’ No. 2 top grosser of all time after Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which earned $128.1 million domestically.
Overseas, Midnight in Paris has earned a strong $33.5 million, for a worldwide total of $73.9 million to date.

The two stars began dating last summer after meeting while shooting Woody Allen’s new movie Midnight in Paris.

They were spotted together many times towards the end of last year and finally confirmed their romance by gracing the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival in May.

It’s now been claimed the relationship is hotting up, with the pair already sharing a home.

“Rachel and Michael are now living together, even though it’s often out of a suitcase because they both travel so much,” a source told National Enquirer. “Michael has settled into her place in Toronto, Canada and most of his stuff is there.”

Michael has 12-year-old daughter Lily with his ex-partner Kate Beckinsale, who he dated for nine years. Rachel has met Lily and they get along famously, much to the 42-year-old actor’s delight.

There have been rumours the couple are considering tying the knot, after Rachel was spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring, and those close to the pair hope he’ll pop the question soon.

“Rachel and Lily get along great, and that’s incredibly important to Michael,” the insider added. “All of their friends believe it’s the real thing for both of them.”

Hello everyone, first I want to start off this post by introducing myself. My name is Lynn and I am the new webmaster of this site. I am very proud to work on Rachel-McAdams.org and I hope you find this change to go smoothly. In a couple of days I will be adding new things to the site, so make sure you keep checking back for updates.

To start off, I have two new stills of Rachel in her upcoming film, Morning Glory. I can not wait to see Rachel in this role! To view, click on the image to the right or the link below.

When hard–working TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at “Daybreak” (the last–place national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts – let alone work with his new co–host, Colleen Peck (Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning “news.” As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky’s blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Wilson) begins to unravel – and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.
