Rachel truly looked magnificent, and this is without a doubt, one of my very favorite ensembles of hers to date. Her gorgeous pastel-patterned Elie Saab Haute couture gown was breathtaking. It’s really refreshing to see a printed dress (that actually works) on the Oscars’ red carpet. Her hair was softely swept into a bun and she carried a lilac Ferragamo clutch. She was wearing Lorraine Schwartz jewelery. When asked why she loved her dress she said, “It feels like a Georgia O’Keeffe painting, I mean I’ve just never seen anything like it.” Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal presented Best Adapted Screenplay to Geoffrey Fletcher for Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire was the winner. I will be getting a clip of this soon, but after the break you can find a couple of clips of Rachel on the red carpet.

Canada For Haiti

Canadians responded to a star-studded appeal to help the victims of Haiti’s devastating earthquake by donating more than $9.4 million Friday night, officials said in the hours that followed a sombre telethon featuring James Cameron, Celine Dion, and Michael J. Fox. McAdams thanked Canadians “for opening their hearts so much” to the impoverished Caribbean nation, which was struck by a massive earthquake on Jan. 12. Almost 92,000 donations were made, including one very generous gift of $100,000, which co-host George Stroumboulopoulos announced during the broadcast from CBC headquarters in Toronto. The celeb-packed show began with Nelly Furtado singing her ballad “Try,” and included performances by K’Naan, Metric and The Tragically Hip. Pre-recorded and live requests for donations came from heavyweight directors Jason Reitman and Norman Jewison and TV stars Joshua Jackson and Sandra Oh. |

Rachel wore a nude Vionette dress and finished off her look with a gorgeous pair of satin pumps from Casadei and a ring and earrings from Bochic. Stunning! The movie opens in theaters in Spain this Friday (January 15th).

Miss McAdams, beautiful as always, looked incredibly sophisticated and lovely than ever in a head-to-toe retro look. Her hairstyle old-school curls are the opitime of Vintage glam and her matte red lipstick compliments it perfectly. Her gown was designed by Alberta Ferretti in a asymmetrical crinkled chiffon style. The look was polished off with Bochic earrings and heels by Fendi. What a way to start of the New Year with this amazing ensemble!
