Deadline Hollywood reports that Terrence Malick has cast Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko in a new love story he’s written and will direct.

No story details are known at this time.

FilmNation Entertainment is behind the film, which starts shooting in this fall. Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Bill Pohlad will produce.

Malick’s previous films include: Badlands, Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line and The New World. His latest The Tree of Life is due for release this year.

If this turns out to be true it will be very exciting news! Badlands is one of my favorites and his other films are renowned for their stunning visuals and haunting performances.

The celeb-packed show began with Nelly Furtado singing her ballad “Try,” and included performances by K’Naan, Metric and The Tragically Hip.

Pre-recorded and live requests for donations came from heavyweight directors Jason Reitman and Norman Jewison and TV stars Joshua Jackson and Sandra Oh.
