“Vow” tells the real-life story of a newlywed New Mexico couple, played by McAdams and Tatum, who end up in a car crash. The wife is put in a coma, where she is cared for by her devoted husband. When she comes to, without any memory of her husband or their marriage, the husband woos her and attempts to wins her heart again.

The project has been in development for more than a decade and at one point was being prepped as a vehicle for Julia ‘Roberts.

McAdams next begins shooting Woody Allen’s film “Midnight in Paris” in July with Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard and Michael Sheen, then stars in the untitled Terrence Malick project that begins filming in the fall.

McAdams, repped by UTA and Magnolia, next stars in Paramount’s November comedy “Morning Glory.”

“Vow” is the third film that Tatum, repped by UTA and Management 360, has booked this year. The actor is shooting Ron Howard’s “Cheaters,” featuring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. He filmed “Knockout,” Steven Soderbergh’s all-star action thriller, this past winter.

Rachel McAdams will return, but …

If he’s planning to shoot in the fall, Silver will have to cast his Moriarty soon. Downey is back as Holmes, and Jude Law returns as Dr. Watson. Silver even said that McAdams would reappear but that she wouldn’t be the leading lady this time.

“She’ll be present,” was all Silver would say.

Who do you think should play Moriarty? And for that matter, which Arthur Conan Doyle character could pick up the baton from McAdams?

The start of shooting is not that far away.

First off, Silver thinks it will be ready to shoot before the end of this year. “We’ll start shooting in the fall and coming out maybe the following year,” Silver said on May 22 in Hollywood.

The clues to the sequel are already buried within the first film.

It ends with Holmes identifying his archnemesis, Moriarty. That will be where the second film picks up, says Silver, making the first film a blueprint for who Moriarty will be.

“We want it to be really bold and strong, and Moriarty has got to be a really incredible character,” Silver said. “We spent a movie setting up a character, and now we can make the next movie where we pay that character off.”

A hotshot television producer is set the challenge of reviving a struggling morning show program, despite the constant feuding of its high-profile anchors.

First up, it’s been a few months since he heard anything about the American remake of the Guillermo del Toro produced The Orphanage, which was also originally written by del Toro. The needless remake (as they all are) will be directed by Mark Pellington. My source, however, tells me that Rachel McAdams is attached as the lead, a woman who brings her family back to her childhood home, where she opens an orphanage for handicapped children. There, her son begins to communicate with an invisible friend, the same friend who terrorized the mom when she was a child.

I am hedging my bets on this one, however, as while I was attempting to get some confirmation on this casting news, I also saw a copy of Production Weekly note from last December which had Sandra Bullock in the lead. Given the genre, neither female seems a natural fit, but it feels like a movie better suited to McAdams. But then again, Bullock is a better age to play a mother. So, it’s hard to say, but I guarantee that the female role will be played by McAdams, Bullock, or some other woman. I’m leaning toward McAdams, if only because the source on this story seems to have some insight into McAdams’ career.

I say that because the source also revealed to me that McAdams is attached to the Michael Douglas produced We Have Always Lived in the Castle, an adaptation of a 1962 Shirley Jackson novel. Horror scribe Mark Kruger penned the script, which is a horror story that revolves around the Blackwood Family — two sisters and their uncle — forced into seclusion after the poisoning of several of their family members. Complications arise when a dubious long lost cousin arrives to secure the family fortune.

In addition to McAdams, Saoirse Ronan is apparently attached as the other sister, while Michael Douglas is set to play the uncle. If, in fact, both of these casting stories pan out, that’d put McAdams in two horror movies. It’s possible that she is attached to both but may drop out of one before the cast is set. We Have Always Lived in the Castle is still searching for a director.

McAdams is also attached or rumored to be in a Terrence Malick project, a Woody Allen movie, and a movie based on the life of Elliot Ness. I’d also expect her back for the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

As with most Allen movies, plot details are being kept under wraps, though the setting for the ensemble is France. The untitled project is scheduled to shoot during the summer.

McAdams’ boarding comes on the heels of Allen’s latest movie, the London-set You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, being acquired by Sony Pictures Classics.

The Canadian actress was recently in theaters with Sherlock Holmes, and will shoot an untitled Terrence Malick movie this year with Christian Bale and Javier Bardem. She next appears with Harrison Ford in the comedy Morning Glory, which Paramount releases October 28.

Actress Rachel McAdams, now 31, does something most can’t muster. She wakes up when it’s still dark and performs rigorous yoga.

“The earliest I’ll start is four-thirty. That’s my limit,” she told Vogue for a recent feature that also cited her habit of biking and walking wherever she goes, and a diet that arches towards healthy-gourmet. It also included the interesting detail that, as beautiful as McAdams always is, she wasn’t raised to focus on appearances.

“My mother never put an emphasis on looks. She let us grow up on our own time line,” McAdams told Vogue. “She never forced any beauty regimen into my world.”

With all this in mind, it seems unlikely McAdams has ever opted for plastic surgery – at least at this point. But in September 2009, she was one focus of a story about Hollywood procedures among actors, and her pictures drew speculation about a possible rhinoplasty.

“Rachel McAdams looks like she has had a rhinoplasty,” plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif told MakeMeHeal.com. “The narrowing is the result of the collapse of the right middle vault, which causes the nose to look twisted. She also has an inverted V deformity of the middle part of her nose; in other words, the cartilage is collapsing. Her nose has also been over-reduced, so that it is collapsing and pinching as well.”

Dr. Sherrell J. Aston, on the other hand, disagreed.

“I do not believe that Rachel McAdams has had any plastic surgery,” he told MakeMeHeal.com. “She is very petite with pretty delicate features that look natural. If she did have surgery her doctor did a great job! I think that her look gives her a lot of diversity.”

If Rachel McAdams has had any plastic surgery on her face, it would come as quite a surprise. Smart money, however, hints that she hasn’t, despite what some surgeons say.

Sherlock Holmes in which Robert Downey Jr reinvents the ascetic Victorian sleuth as a dashing superhero, earned $24.9 million during its first day of release on Friday, distributor Warner Bros Pictures said.

The record for a Christmas Day opening was set last year when Marley and Me launched with $14.4 million.

Avatar earned $23.5 million on Friday, taking the eight-day total for director James Cameron’s costly 3-D extravaganza to $160.8 million, said 20th Century Fox.

The studios will release data for the Friday-Sunday period on Sunday.
